Who we are
East London Cultures School (ELCS) operates as a Community Interest Company Limited by Guarantee (CIC LBG). Our overarching vision is to enrich the community through various educational avenues, including academic and language instruction, as well as fostering creativity and skill development in areas such as art, dance, music, sport, and environmental awareness. ELCS CIC is dedicated to enhancing confidence and capabilities, thereby promoting community cohesion and enhancing the quality of life in East London. We concentrate our efforts on contributing to educational initiatives across East London, encompassing areas such as Barking and Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, and Waltham, catering to children and young adults from birth to 25 years of age.
What we do
Through collaboration with funded statutory bodies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), local charities, faith-based institutions, elected members, and local constituted groups, East London Cultures School CIC has hosted and is planning to host a greater number of projects, along with other community, business, and civic events.
Work with us
East London Cultures School CIC employs local people to run the projects for which it is responsible. Our staff are volunteers and paid employees who live locally within the communities which we serve. We are willing to provide the volunteer/traineeship/apprenticeship/work opportunities to East London residents (particularly to the high-potential junior people).
